Deputy Brent W. Ostrander

 Brent started his career with the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department in 2006.  Prior to being hired with the Sheriff’s Department Brent served with the Guttenberg Police Department for 4 ½  years where he was the department’s K-9 handler for the last 2 ½ years. Brent graduated with an Associates and Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the Southwest Wisconsin Technical College (SWTC) in 2002. Brent also successfully completed the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy at Hawkeye Community College in 2003. Brent has multiple certifications including:  Basic canine handler, drug interdiction, UltraLyte 200 LR lidar operations, open site rifle, rave drug identification, and less-lethal munitions. Brent has been assigned to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department’s patrol division where he will be working night shifts.  Brent is also an active member in the Department’s Tri-River Special Operations Team, which is a multi-jurisdictional rapid response crisis intervention team.
