  • Mike became Clayton County Sheriff in January 2009.

  • He graduated from Hawkeye College in May 1988 with an Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Police Science.

  • He graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in October 1991.

  • Employed by Guttenberg Police Department 1990.

  • Employed by Clayton County Sheriff's Department 1991 to present.

  • Mike was the Sr. Investigator for Clayton County Sheriff's Department prior to becoming sheriff.

  • Active member of Iowa State Sheriff's and Deputies Association.
