K9 Deputy Sheriff 
Matt Moser

· In 2002, Matt graduated from Clayton Ridge High School.

· After high school, Matt attended North Iowa Area Community College and received his Associate’s in Arts Degree in Criminal Justice.

· Deputy Moser continued his education by attending Buena Vista University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
· In January 2008 Matt was hired by the Strawberry Police Department.
· In Spring 2008 Matt graduated from the 8-week Iowa Law Enforcement Academy.
· In February 2009 Deputy Moser was hired by the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.
· In July of 2009 Deputy Moser became the Sheriff’s Office K9 Handler.

· Deputy Moser’s partner is K9 "Bear." Bear is a Belgium Malinois.
· K9 Bear turned eight years old in June of 2012.
· K9Bear is a dual purpose K9 and assists all law enforcement agencies in Clayton County.
· K9 Bear helps detect narcotics and tracks fleeing criminals, or assists in finding or tracking missing children.
· Deputy Moser and K9 Bear are also available for presentations or demonstrations.
