Clayton County Sheriff's Office

Drug Task Force
S.O.G

The Clayton County Sheriff's Office, in an effort to combat illegal narcotics, trains certain deputies for the ability to conduct high risk search warrant entries into places where illegal drugs are being sold or made. This training consists of 120 hours of tactical team operations training. This training teaches the deputies everything from how to plan a tactical entry through the actual execution of the entry into the location.

This team of deputies is also trained and equipped in the methods of conducting a search warrant entry into a location where Methamphetamine is possibly being manufactured. The Sheriffs Office has four trained deputies as Certified Clandestine Laboratory Technicians for the purpose of dismantling Methamphetamine Laboratories. There are also two deputies trained as Site Safety Supervisors for Clandestine Laboratories.

The Clayton County Sheriff's Office works with the local police departments and the State Division of Narcotics Enforcement in sharing information and developing cases. The Sheriff's Office is also a member of the Northeast Iowa Drug Task Force. This multi-agency cooperation has yielded arrests and search warrants for illegal drug activity in and around Clayton County.

The Sheriff's Office also has a TIP line 563-245-1234 for those persons wishing to pass on information but wanting to remain anonymous.
